This recipe is adapted to be suitable for Diabetes πŸ™‚



7-8 chicken wings

1 table spoon of oil

5 table spoons of soy sauce* Β (cheaper to buy it in a Chinese super market)

1 table spoon of rice wine (optional)

1 tea spoon of sugar

1 tin (330ml) of Coke Light or Coke Zero

1 table spoon of flour

10 cloves of garlic

6 slices of ginger

1 bunch of spring onions

1 chilli pepper

*Can substitute for low sodium for high blood pressure problems


  1. Boil the chicken wings until half cooked
  2. In a pan, heat the oil, add garlic, ginger.
  3. Add chicken wings, cook until the skin turns light brown
  4. Add sugar, soy sauce, rice wine, spring onions and chilli
  5. Stir well
  6. Add Coke Light
  7. Simmer for 15 mins, add the flour
  8. Turn the heat up and cook until the sauce thickens
  9. Add some sesame seeds if wish πŸ™‚
